AlcoMate Premium AL7000 PRISM Technology Pre-calibrated Replaceable Intelligent Sensor Modules (PRISM) - Global patent including US Patent No. US 7.841.224 B2 & US 8.250.900 B2 Eliminates continuous alcohol sensor degradation by having the old module replaced entirely Eliminates the turnaround time and hassle of mail-back calibration Sensor module replacement takes just seconds, then you can get right back to testing. AlcoMate Professional Breathalyzer Premium AL7000 | US DOT Approved | Replaceable Sensor Module | for Law Enforcement Use Ensure Day 1 Accuracy on Day 500. The AlcoMate Premium breathalyzer features patented PRISM Technology, which eliminates two fundamental flaws of traditional re-calibration: sensor degradation and the turnaround cycle. The Premium is approved by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for law enforcement use, and is widely used by both professionals and general consumers concerned with long-term accuracy. The US Navy selected the AlcoMate brand for single-source supply for its ongoing substance testing program. PRISM Technology to eliminate the problems with re-calibration and ensure long-term accuracy. Easy-replace sensor panel, module replacement takes just seconds! 4-Digit LCD Results Single-button Operation PRISM: The Solution to Calibration When choosing to invest in a breathalyzer, accuracy is the most important factor to consider. However, all breathalyzers lose accuracy over time (usually in one year or less), and the current fix for this loss in accuracy is manual re-calibration. Manual re-calibration is a flawed process, because the actual residue buildup and functional degradation inside the sensor cavity is not addressed at all; re-calibration simply "re-teaches" the device to show better results with the now-degraded sensor. After several re-calibrations, sometimes after even the first one, the sensor may have degraded too far, at which point re-calibration cannot even be performed and the device is now just a paperweight. These flaws are all completely erased by the introduction of PRISM Technology and its user-replaceable sensor modules. Replacement is quick and easy, and replacing the module is the only way to restore true "day one" accuracy to your device. Trusted by Professionals, Law Enforcement and the US Military AlcoMate's goal is to contribute to a national network of safety procedures and protocols for the prevention of alcohol-related incidents both in and out of the workplace. In order for breath alcohol testing applications to remain time-tested and reliable, we believe the future lies in the pursuit of innovation, which led us to develop PRISM technology. For example, diabetics exhibiting acetone or ketones on their breath can trigger this behavior. High false pluse readings? Use with alcohol-based santizers. Recently, it is reported that breathalyzer shows the high false positive readings of +0.012BAC% up to +0.018BAC%, even when you test a brand new device without drinking. This is because the active ingredient of ethyl alcohol in hand sanitizer may affect the sensor sensitivity of breathalyzers. If you use alcohol based hand sanitizers with breathalyzer, please avoid enclosed spaces where the contaminated air is full. If you can't avoid it, ventilate contaminated air enough to make sure there is no contaminated air, prior to using breathalyzer. Poor ventilation may also lengthen the time required for warm up between tests. The breathalyzer unit contains a sensitive alcohol sensor that is continuously exposed to the environment. The sensor may degrade faster than normal if used in a poorly ventilated area. The alcohol sensor can be damaged upon contact with silicon, rubber, volatile chemicals and chlorine-based chemicals. Prevent exposure of the sensor to the such items. Although the unit is designed to minimize the casual intake of some moisture, excessive liquid flow (i.e. excess saliva, liquid alcohol from the mouth) can damage the sensor or render the sensor immediately inaccurate. The sensor may degrade faster than normal if used in a poorly ventilated area. Avoid testing in high wind or enclosed spaces. If you can't avoid it, ventilate contaminated air enough to make sure there is no contaminated air. Keep your device away from the contact with silicon, rubber, volatile and chlorine-based chemicals. Common error codes or messages encountered in the device Warning Code "Flow" If this warning code appears in the display the breath sample was not strong or long enough for measurement. As soon as you start blowing into the device you will hear a long beep indicating how long you should blow. It requires 3 seconds of moderate blow. Warning Code "Cal" If this warning code appears in the display the device needs a new sensor module. If the cumulative test counter reaches 300 tests the device will display "Cal" automatically. Please replace it with a new sensor module. Error Code "bat" This issue is caused by low battery power. Replace the batteries with a new pair. Always use a brand new pair of batteries. Error Code "Err2" If this error code appears in the display the device is reporting a general problem with the alcohol sensor or that the device has been physically damaged. Replace sensor module to ensure the sensor module is in good working condition. If the problem is not fixed and continues please contact AK GlobalTech Technical Support for troubleshooting. Error Code "Err6/Err9" The device is reporting that power is insufficient to complete test. Replace batteries with a brand new pair. If the problem is not fixed and continues please contact AK GlobalTech Technical Support for troubleshooting.
