The instrument uses a 9V battery, replace the battery is simple and easy to use,carry and operate.and can be used for the phase accuracy test of any Sound System.Particularly suited to the testing of popular public radio sound system,Professional audio combined system,Line array sound system,Line source frets sound system,HIFI stereo systems, car audio systems, home theater and some combined sound occasion.The system consists of two hand-held units, PC218-A pulse can produce their own sound signal and then output the sound signal of 1Hz 1 second through XLR for PC218-B to testing. It is connected to the audio system for testing through the XLR socket output, and is equipped with an output level adjustment knob (LEVEL). The output volume of the XLR can be adjusted by LEVEL on the panel, and the output volume of the built-in speaker is fixed. At the same time, it also has an output signal polarity switching switch, and the XLR socket output can switch the polarity of the output signal to 2+or 3+. In the test, once the signal is fed back to the audio system, the receiver will display whether the received signal is in phase, and the illuminated LED on the receiver will flash for a moment, with green flashing indicating the same (positive) phase as the input source and red flashing indicating the opposite phase as the input source. PC218-B Tester Function Introduction: The PC218-B has a built-in test microphone for measuring the polarity of the speaker. It is also equipped with an XLR signal input port, which can be connected to the output of electronic peripheral devices or external microphones for measuring the polarity of electronic devices or microphones. PC218-B is equipped with a measurement mode conversion switch, which has three modes: 1. Select INT.MIC: Use built-in microphone for testing: Align the microphone head on the PC218-B device with the speaker in a straight line, connect the PC218-A to the audio device, output the test signal, and one of the IN or OUT LED lights on the instrument will flash, with IN (green light) flashing to indicate+and OUT (red light) flashing to indicate -; 2. Select EXT.MIC: Use external microphone testing: Used to measure the polarity of external microphones, including wireless microphone testing. The output of the microphone or wireless microphone host is inserted into the input XLR socket on the PC218-B instrument, and the microphone is close to the built-in speaker of PC218-A. The green light (IN) flashes to indicate the microphone polarity is+, and the red light (OUT) flashes to indicate the microphone polarity is -. 3. Select LINE: Use the line level signal input function: A. Input the signal of PC218-A to the electronic peripheral device input, and the device output is connected to the input of PC218-B. During measurement, a green light (IN) flashing indicates that the device polarity is+, and a green light not lit indicates -. B. Connect the output and input XLR sockets of PC218-A and PC218-B with an XLR cable. Switch the switches of both instruments to position 2, rotate the LEVEL level, and observe that the IN green light should follow the sound emitted by the horn. Switch the switches of both instruments to position 3, and the green light should follow the sound emitted by the horn. Note: During measurement, ensure that the signal polarity switch of PC218-A and PC218-B is in the same position, Either 2 bits or 3 bits, both of which are the same, otherwise PC218-B will not flash except for the power indicator. Reminder: This instrument does not support microphone input phantom power. Other testing applications: In the testing of the public address sound system, please output signals from PC218-A and place PC218-B in front of each speaker in order to ensure that the system is in phase; In the application of multi-function hall, PC218-A is used to release sound signals to each microphone, and then PC218-B is connected to the output end of the Mixing console. PC218-B can test whether all microphones are in the same phase. If not, turn off the effect function to test to see whether the microphones are in the same phase. The PC218-A signal is transmitted to a magnetic tape and connected to the output of the recording machine using PC218-B. This system can be used to test the phase transfer process of magnetic tape recording; In normal operation, some frequency division networks or audio systems may deviate from phase. When using PC218, attention should be paid to this issue and corresponding adjustments should be made. The instrument is not affected by propagation delay or effect delay.
